about
“Suffer” is a self hypnotizing song about accepting certain tortures in order to confront the thing that many of us consciously fear and unconsciously want the most— the dangerous thing that humans throughout civilization call “Love.” To let yourself Love someone outside of your Self is to become a host to Suffering. But if you suffer well, you and your parasite will share roles, the relationship becoming symbiotic and the moments of pleasure rivaling the powers of Death.
lyrics
Stand above me and watch me suffer
I fear the things I want most
Come inside of me feel the pressure
It's time to feed off your host
Suffer
Suffer
Why'd You Let Me Let You?
Why'd You Let Me Let You?
Why Me; Why You?
Stand above me and watch me suffer
I fear the things I want most
Come inside of me feel the pressure
It's time to feed off your host
Suffer
Suffer
Suffer with me
Suffer for me
Suffer with me
Suffer for me
Suffer with me
Suffer for me
Suffer with me
Suffer for me

Fun, bright post-punk that emulates the bands I grew up with so well that I honestly had to check and make sure the album wasn't a re-release from 1984. So glad this came up in my recommended feed. modestwriggles

Saw them open for Health in March, 2024 and had to pick this up. I have been playing Alphapussy and Club Mania on repeat. Rest of the album rips too! inflatable_dream
